In response to clients expectations and needs as well as dynamic development of the automotive industry, DiagProg4 diagnostic tester will soon, thanks to the special "EXPANSION CAN-FD" adapter significantly expand its usability and enable diagnostics and programming of the latest vehicle models using the CAN-FD communication protocol (CAN Flexible Data-rate).
CAN-FD extends the current CAN protocol in two areas:
- Firstly, the transmission speed of the data phase can be increased to over 1 Mbit / s,
- secondly, number of data in one message frame is increased to 64 bytes.
Depending on the system, this enables an increase in data flow and, for example, shorter software download times will be achieved or can significantly speed up communication in case of longer cables.
